Religious Ed & 2026 Totus Tuus

Parish Faith Formation:  Matthew Jodziewicz MJodziewicz@corpuschristicos.org

God takes all of us on journeys. There is not a single person, Catholic, Protestant, non-denominational, or otherwise, who is not being called by God into deeper communion. He longs for us and seeks us out, especially when we feel unlovable and forgotten. Just think of the great converts, St. Augustine, St. Ignatius, St. Mary of Egypt, and so many others. Today, there are few more compelling conversion stories than  Fr. Donald Calloway, who moved from Japanese drug runner to Catholic priest. I highly recommend watching his conversion story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE3KMKmhbVA .  Why do I mention all of this? Because Corpus Christi’s OCIA classes will begin this coming September.  If you, or someone you know, is either not Catholic and interested in the Catholic Church, or are missing your Sacraments (First Communion and Confirmation), then please reach out to me! Many people are allowed to audit the classes and attend the sessions even if they are not fully sure of the Catholic Faith. MJodziewicz@corpuschristicos.org

Parish School of Religion (PSR): Corpus Christi offers a weekly faith formation and religious education opportunity for grades PreK through 7th every Sunday during the school year, typically beginning in September and ending on Divine Mercy Sunday.

PSR is a chance for your children to grow closer to Jesus, who pleaded with us, “Let the children come to Me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) We have an experienced team of catechists who have a passion for sharing the Faith with the youngest members of our diocese. If you are interested in learning more about Corpus Christi’s Parish School of Religion, please reach out to our Director of Religious Education, Matt Jodziewicz, at MJodziewicz@corpuschristicos.org.

Corpus Christi is hosting TOTUS TUUS! June 27th through July 3rd, 2026

This is a fun, Bible and Catechism based summer camp put on at the school, running from 9am-2:30pm for grades 1-6, and 7-9pm for youth in grades 7-12.

Registration starts MAY 1st!

For more information please contact me (Matt) at MJodziewicz@corpuschristicos.org.

We have the need for VOLUNTEERS

If you feel called to lend a hand please reach out to me! (MJodziewicz@corpuschristicos.org).

Here are the positions that we would love your help with:

Classroom volunteer - This is a teaching assistant position! Grades 1-6 will be in the morning (9am-2:30pm, includes Mass, lunch, and confessions) and grades 7-12 will be in the evening (7-9pm, includes night prayer).

Admin volunteer - At the beginning and end of each day we will need to check kids in and check them out. This person would help make sure that no one slips through the cracks! You do not have to commit to both check in and out, you could choose one over the other (especially if you were picking up or dropping off a kiddo).

Meals - Since the missionaries are living the same calling that Jesus gave His disciples when He sent them two by two, our parish will need to feed our visiting catechists! This involves giving a meal (lunch and/or dinner) to eight people once or more Monday-Friday.

Snacks - The kids need to eat, too! We are in need of good snack food (Monday - Friday) for the kids to fuel their brains as they learn about Jesus and Catholicism.
